Rebuilding Together NYC is a local safe and healthy housing organization whose focus is to provide free home repairs for low-income elderly, disabled, and veteran homeowners and community centers serving these populations. Rebuilding Together NYC’s provides program specific services such as the Rebuilding after Sandy program which provides home repairs for homeowners who are recovering from Superstorm Sandy.

In addition, Rebuilding Together NYC NYC delivers home modification services to low-income elderly and/or disabled homeowners and family members throughout the year through the Access to Home program. By providing accessibility modifications we can help them continue to live in their residence and avoid institutional care.

Rebuilding Together NYC knows that a home is only as safe and healthy as its neighborhood. RT NYC conducts Neighborhood Revitalization projects where volunteers and skilled trade individuals, along with local businesses and corporate sponsors, come together to complete a number of projects that revitalize the neighborhood block by block. Rebuilding Together NYC helps improve community safety through the Light it Up program in which volunteers install motion-sensor, solar-powered security lights on the exterior of homes to light up dark streets at night.
